Decision Systems Lead

About the Role

Over the past few years, Sotoon has grown rapidly. At the same time, the number of products, teams, and strategic initiatives across the company has increased significantly. These initiatives can range from launching a new product to changing a process or entering a new market.

At this stage of our growth, our challenge is not simply having more data or holding more meetings. We want to have a reliable, up-to-date view of the state of our teams, products, and strategic initiatives at any given time. We want to create a continuous flow of information that enables better decision-making with the right stakeholders: understanding where we are actually making progress, where we are drifting away from our goals, what requires a decision, what signals we can see about the future, and which issues need to be identified before they turn into crises.

That’s why we’re looking for a Decision Systems Lead — someone who can operate at the intersection of Business, Data, and Technology, build decision systems, and helps us make organizational decision-making and monitoring more systematic, data-driven, and as intelligent as possible.

The Mission

The primary mission of this role is to own the end-to-end system for monitoring Sotoon’s strategic Threads and initiatives . 
This means building and driving a system that combines goals, metrics, operational data, team updates, and qualitative signals to provide a clear picture of the actual state of each Thread and deliver the information needed for decision-making to team leaders and senior leadership.

The goal is to evolve this system from a largely manual, meeting-driven process into a scalable decision-making infrastructure powered by Data, Automation, and GenAI.

Responsibilities

• Design and own the end-to-end system for monitoring Threads, creating a bridge between strategic goals, data and day-to-day operational behavior.
• Work closely with Thread Leaders and senior leaders to translate strategic goals into measurable Outcomes, Metrics, and Milestones.
• Collect and analyze quantitative and qualitative data and turn them into a clear, actionable view of business health and progress.
• Identify deviations, blockers, and risks early, and help clarify the next best action.
• Design Cadences, Dashboards, and Review mechanisms that make monitoring effective and efficient.
• Identify patterns across Threads and turn recurring issues into opportunities for systemic improvement.
• Use Automation and GenAI to reduce manual work in information collection, analysis, summarization, and monitoring.

We expect you to be able to take an ambiguous problem, structure it, ask the right questions, find the data you need, and stay with it until you have built a usable system with clear ownership.

For this role, the following qualities are particularly important:

• Strong ability to structure and analyze ambiguous, multidimensional problems.
• Solid experience working with data and metrics, with the ability to translate data into insights and actions.
• Hands-on familiarity with Data and Automation tools; SQL is a strong advantage for this role.
• Strong communication skills across technical, product, and business teams, with the ability to translate between different perspectives and create a shared language for decision-making.

• The ability to identify Threads at risk before it is too late.
• Enable senior managers to understand the state of each Thread without having to dive into operational details.
• A significant portion of information collection and processing becoming automated over time.
• Data generated by the system being used to continuously improve the decision-making system itself.
