JIRA Administrator (Part-time)

As a JIRA administrator, you'll be responsible for JIRA and Confluence management. You will maintain the workflows, create and customize JIRA projects, and configure the related reports. You'll work close to the JIRA hosting team in order to resolve issues and make the needed changes to the JIRA and Confluence dashboard.
Having great attention to detail and good problem-solving skills can help you a lot in the process. Also, you will be needing a good set of verbal and writing skills in order to communicate effectively.,
What you will do (Part-time):
- Support JIRA and Confluence administration, including creation and management of projects, users and groups, workflows, security schemes, custom fields, dashboards, and report configurations.
- Lead minor and major JIRA/Confluence upgrades (including communications), schedule and coordinate maintenance, and support performance tuning/scaling with our JIRA hosting partner.
- Install, manage, and administer JIRA add-ons, plugins, and extensions.
- Meet with stakeholders to identify JIRA Project and Confluence needs and implement them where appropriate.
- Gather requirements, map workflows, and improve JIRA/Confluence processes, identifying functionality gaps.
- Create and maintain detailed technical and user-facing documentation.
- Troubleshoot issues with JIRA Projects and Confluence in coordination with the JIRA hosting partner team.
- Develop and maintain standard and custom JIRA workflows.
- Set up permission schemes, notification schemes, and screens to meet specific project needs.
- Troubleshoot and fix common application errors.
- Create user training manuals/guides.
- Analyze, review, and document current functionality to determine areas for improvement
Requirements
- Experience in Business Process Management Systems (BPMS) and JIRA administration.
- Good communication skills to work with various stakeholders to gather requirements and propose solutions.
- Ability to analyze and resolve technical issues related to JIRA.
- Good problem-solving skills and the ability to propose multiple solutions for complex operational, business, and technical issues.
- Ability to troubleshoot and debug issues with JIRA and custom scripts.
- Strong understanding of JIRA administration, including workflows, permission schemes, issue types, and custom fields.
- Familiarity with JIRA APIs and the ability to write scripts to automate tasks and extract data.
- General knowledge of programming languages such as Python, Java, and Groovy to build custom scripts and integrations with other tools.
- Experience with database management systems, particularly SQL and data modeling.
- Ability to troubleshoot and solve technical issues related to JIRA configuration and integrations.
- Understanding of web technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Experience with JIRA plugins and third-party integrations such as Automation for JIRA, Scriptrunner, JWT, JMCF, etc.
- Proficient in Project Setups, Components, JIRA Reporting, Report Filters, and Dashboard creation.
