Technical Director of Engineering

As the Technical Director of Engineering at Sotoon, you will be at the forefront of driving technical vision and strategy. In this pivotal role, you’ll ensure the highest standards of technical excellence and lead the evolution of our engineering processes. Working closely with the CTO, you’ll have the opportunity to define and implement innovative technical strategies, oversee system architecture, and ensure every project aligns with Sotoon’s goals. Your leadership will be crucial in fostering seamless communication, optimizing technical pathways, and executing projects flawlessly. Additionally, you will mentor and inspire technical team leads, guiding them to achieve strategic objectives and deliver top-notch solutions. 

Responsibilities: 

• Implement and monitor technical strategies to ensure alignment with Sotoon's goals.
• Collaborate with the CTO to analyze and develop suitable strategies related to the Sotoon’s technological and technical needs.
• Translate strategic goals into actionable plans with clear and measurable KPIs.
• Track and monitor technical project milestones, identify potential obstacles, and ensure timely project delivery.
• Oversee technical strategy and architecture, ensuring security, performance, efficiency, and scalability of software systems.
• Define quality standards for technical outputs, ensuring code integrity and technical excellence.
• Assess technical risks and limitations, offering solutions to mitigate them.
• Provide technical leadership to team leads, offering guidance in solving complex technical issues.
• Regularly evaluate team performance, providing feedback and supporting team development.
• Plan and advance the technical roadmap, considering team capabilities, customer needs, and potential technical pathways.

• Extensive experience and expertise in infrastructure technology, with a focus on areas such as network architecture, cloud computing, security, and scalability.
• Proven track record in managing and leading technical teams, with substantial experience in project management.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with teams and stakeholders.
• Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a talent for analyzing technical challenges and providing innovative solutions.
• Up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, new technologies, and infrastructure processes.
